Knight Architects Wins Spot on $140M U.S. Army Design and Engineering Contract

Knight Architects has been selected as one of eight small business firms awarded a position on a $140 million multiple-award contract from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) to deliver design and architect-engineering services across the South Atlantic Division. The contract includes a five-year ordering period for a broad range of military construction and modernization projects.

Scope of Work

Under the indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity (IDIQ) contract, Knight Architects and the other selected firms will provide planning, design, engineering, and technical services to support the Army’s infrastructure initiatives.
Each task order will be negotiated as firm-fixed-price and primarily cover design work for projects with construction values up to $5 million.

The scope includes both vertical and horizontal construction, such as:

  • New facilities including barracks, offices, maintenance buildings, laboratories, and child development centers

  • Infrastructure and site projects such as airfields, roads, and training ranges

Additional services under the contract include master planning, value engineering, commissioning, surveys, studies, and cost estimating.

All project designs must leverage Building Information Modeling (BIM) technology and adhere to the Savannah District design manual and USACE engineering standards.

Key Locations

Work will be performed at major military installations throughout the Savannah District, including:
Fort Liberty, Fort Eisenhower, Fort Jackson, Fort Stewart, Fort Moore, Gillem Enclave, Moody Air Force Base, Hunter Army Airfield, Seymour Johnson AFB, and Robins AFB.
